The Knack "My Sherona", which to this day I will defend as a great song.

Zebra have always had a VERY LOYAL following on Long Island. If you're from L.I., you're a Zebra fan... plain and simple.
I also have the tape of Aldo Nova. I love the whole tape. Under-rated for back in the day...Originally Posted by XJ99

The Doors also had "Riders on the Storm".
Bomfunk MC's - Freestyler
Jet - Are You Gonna Be My Girl?
Wolfmother - Woman
If those band's weren't one hit wonders, they should've been. As much as I don't like to discredit Australian bands, if you wanted to listen to something that sounds retro, why wouldn't you just listen to something retro... Not this modern "retro rock" like Wolfmother.

Rudiments?
Before I add my contributions, a quick update on The Doors:
There were two other Doors hits that made the charts:
"Hello, I Love You" (1968) and "Love Her Madly" (1971).
Funny that I can think of at least four great drum instrumental records that were "one-hit wonders"--
Preston Epps--"Bongo Rock" (1959); probably the first and up to now only record where bongos were front and center--it blew me away the first time I heard it (age seven!)...
The Surfaris--"Wipeout" (1963); if you listen to "Bongo Rock" and then to "Wipeout," you'll notice some similarities between the two--of course, one is on bongos and the other on the set...
Iron Butterfly--"In-a-Gadda-da-Vida" (1969); most drummers in their 50's either tried (or knew someone who tried) to replicate the solo...
Dennis Coffey and the Detroit Guitar Band--"Scorpio" (1971); yeah, it's a guitar instrumental but it has a killer conga solo about halfway through, slaps, note-bending and all...
Might want to look for them and practice with them, buddies!
keep the beat goin' ... Don't keep it to yourself!

"If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away." --Henry David Thoreau, "Walden," 1854
"There's a lot to be said for Time Honored tradition and value." --In memory of Frank "fiacovaz" Iacovazzi
"Maybe your drums can be beat, but you can't."--Jack Keck
Ok, I thought of a few...
Blind Melon - No Rain
Dishwalla - Counting Blue Cars
Drowning Pool - Bodies
Extreme - More Than Words
Hoobastank - The Reason
Methods of Mayhem - Get Naked
Monster Magnet - Space Lord
Seven Mary Three - Cumbersome
The Toadies - Possum Kingdom
Alan Parsons' Project - Eye in the Sky
Man, there sure are a lot of 2 hit wonders out there. Every time I think of a song and start to type it in, I go "oh yeah, they did do that other tune..."
