Leigh, no offense or anything but you don't post that much so it's not gonna make a huge difference if you have it in your signature.

just throwing this out there: we should schedule the date at least a month in advance. that way everyone who rarely checks in here has a better chance of seeing the thread and making the effort to get here during the record attempt.

As DD suggested, the date should be a month in Advance. I do agree, but I'm thinking after setting that date...maybe make it a regular thing every two months?


Okay...here's an option a month from now (taking into consideration the suggestions):

US - Pacific: 10 PM (October 10 - Saturday)
Sydney: 4 PM (October 11 - Sunday)
London: 6 AM (October 11 - Sunday)

Another option would be to trade...who gets to log-in mid-afternoon; early morning...and after dinner. (Which sort of fits in if we all would like to continue the tradition every two months)

If you look at the bottom of the main page , you will see......Most users ever online was 364, 06-26-2007 at 08:09 PM.

If Im correct that just shows how many were logged in here at the same time. Which means all you would have to do is stay logged on and if you want to go to bed or have yourself a midnight snack you would still be recorded as being here .

I like the date and time and say lets run with it and if it doesnt work this time then we try again a few weeks later .

* A good thing about Posting in DC, is that you can edit your posts (from what I know...with no limit on editing)...so I'll keep editing and updating until we reach a number of active users (and some grumpy inactive ones)

At least then only one list would be kept and updated. And I can keep a word copy to cross-check to prevent any double ups, when the list gets longer...(and it will!)

depending on the day im in. the 9 or 10 pm pacific would work great for me except for monday or wednesday evenings.. although on those days I could just log in before I left for school and leave it logged in.

@GF --- That's always a good reminder. It is being 'logged on' You don't really have to be in front of your PC clicking madly for the next half an hour! But my concern is...I think at some point...if a user is idle for a certain amount of time, they get logged out automatically. Is this just a settings thing? Meaning a user could possibly set being logged on until manually logging out?

That might be a question to ask su admin l e i g h ......I was under the impression as long as you were logged in that you stayed in until you logged out but I have nothing concrete to base this on .
