I practice at home with headphones on an electric kit, and my partner goes into hysterics because I make weird grunts and moans while playing more complex stuff.

    And yes ... catching flies.

    depends

When im just relaxed, ill just sit there

But once i start getting into the speed stuff, jaws dropped, i start panting if im going really fast for a long time, usually i just like pressure my jaw once i start the ending, and my mouth is like, stuck open, and dosnt move

    So ill bet yes

    Cool Open mouth?

    Hoo boy!

When I began taking drum lessons in 1984, my teacher and I were both cigar smokers (and our lessons were often as much "smokers" as jam sessions). I didn't realize it until after we both quit smoking, but I found that I had been chomping on my cigar (and realized I was still twisting my mouth to "chomp" on an invisible stogie) as I played!

(DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME or ANYWHERE ELSE.)
keep the beat goin' ... Don't keep it to yourself!

Yeah, whenever I'm really concentrating on nailing something complex, my jaw drops. If it's simple, I can pull it off without having my mouth open.

I definitely make all kinds of pi**ed-off faces! My nick-name, given to me, in my old band was, "vicious". They said it looked like I was about to kill someone. Completely rip them apart with my own bare hands.

Hehe, one of my mates does that. It's really wicked to watch him play a set. He really puts a performance into playing drums.
