Very nice Doc! I like the x-hat location. I don't see a cable going to it but the drop clutch must mean you can play it open and closed on the fly?

    l-splat:
#1 looks like it has jingles and dingles on every piece. - hmmm
#2 cymbals setup looks really dry - maybe compensating by using the jingly stuff?
#3 has a bit of a variety of sound and colors coming in - cymbals and toms. i like this one the best.

Thank you. I play jazz, blues, funk, rock, and also one band that combines all of that.

G-man: My approach to all of those genres is focused on providing a solid, but unobstructive base for the song. I find that my (yes, extremely dry) cymbals fit the bill for this style of playing perfectly. I've never liked the ringing sound of crashes on records. All the jingles help add texture to a groove, and I've always liked experimenting with different sounds. I dunno, maybe it's just a phase I'm going through. And thanks, that last setup is certainly fun to play.

I love experimenting with sounds. Cool that you can adapt your gear to pull out some different sounds that all fit into what you like.

It is such a cool kit, isn't it!......I'm not a big wrap fan at all on drums but that slightly yellowed marine white pearl just works on that kit for some reason.
