It sounds lovely to ride on no matter where on the ride I play. It can be a little high in volume when crashing on it sometimes.
I like it so much I also bought the Sand hats.

I'm not tall enough to get it all in, but here is an overhead shot from this past Friday's gig.

Kit looks great. I don't know how you can alter your setup, much, though. It looks very comfortable as is. I like your cymbal choices, too.

Thanks GDM. I was thinking of shifting everything to the left, bringing the 14" up on top of the bassand maybe moving the 8" over above my popcorn snare (not positive I'll have room for the 8" between the 10" and the hi-hats not being home at the moment). Basically just play around and see if I find a setup I like better.

I run just about the exact same setup - number of toms, cymbals, placement. The only thing I found that really alters the setup in any meaningful way is to eliminate the 8" tom altogether. Then you have the room to move toms and cymbals around. I've tried many variations but I like having the 8 available so I always end up back with the arrangement you have in the picture.

I played around with different set ups and completely agree with you. After trying several options I went back to the set up I started with. Was fun playing around though.

Changed up the cymbal arrangement. Took a couple away and simplified it a bit

Missed the ekit but didn't have the room to have another kit set up in the garage so I racked it to the acoustic kit:

OK! That seals it! We have GOT to get together soon to play together on that thing. I'm sending a PM. Seriously, the Pearls are gorgeous. And a true double bass kit is a rarity these days. That's an awesome 'playground' you've got there.
    Proudly playing:
    Doc Sweeney Drums
    A bunch of snares
    A bunch of cymbals

    Off-Set double pedals

I think I love to play the drums simply because you get to hit 'em!!!

These are my Tama Superstar Hyperdrive maples
I love this kit. The orange metallic is vibrant and goes well with the black nickel hardware.

Nice kit! I love how shallow the superstar hyperdrive toms are. Hope to get one of those kits some time.
