Music video of the charity gig last week

The bassist shot a lot of footage of the day and put together this music video. Thought it turned out pretty cool. New PA is working great. We're playing the same but we sound much cleaner than we ever have!!!

The little kid in the video isn't mine. He stood and watched almost the whole 3 hours, so I let him sit on my kit and bang around during breaks.

I do to Larry. That was after I used a whole bunch of moon gel to get the FT under control. I'll have to play around with tuning some more, and I'm going to try the pinstripes at practice on Monday.

Jesse. I suggest you try the Evans EC2's and use remo Orings.

You know I've been against EC2's since I tried them on my kid's Superstars, but they are very different drums from mine. I have new pinstripes now that I think I'll put on first. If those are no go, I'm going to give EC2's and Aquarian Super2's with the ring a try. Think I should skip the pinstripes and go right to EC2's? Pinstripes were OEM on the drums and I used them for a very long time in the past.

I hate to waste money, but we're starting to play a fair amount and having the right sound is part of it.

What's on your snare Bish? I'm about to swap the OEM head on my Ludwig Epic with a Genera Dry (HD seemed to dead).

HOLD the FORT.

They aren't EC's, they are G2's Genera. My way bad. They are Clear Evans G2's on top and Remo Clear Ambassadors on the bottom.

My snare has the Remo Coated Ambassador on the snare.

For dampening I use Remo Orings on the upper toms and one Moon Gel on the floors. Nothing on the bass drum but Aquarian SKII and matching Black Reso.

Glad I didn't do anything!!! I'm playing G2/G1 combo right now and just having problems with ring on both the 12 and the FT, and a lot of rumble on the floor tom. Maybe it's my tuning. I tuned them up for the last show, and the batters and reso are the same. I might have to tune down the batter a little and up the reso? Now that I'm close mic'ing them at shows it's much more noticeable so all of a sudden I have to care!!!

Any general sense of how you have the FT tuned, since that's really my issue right now.
