I'm in Richmond. Great place. 2 hours from the mountains, the beach, the lakes and Washington, DC. The music scene is pretty active here. Lots of clubs, especially in the Shockoe Bottom area downtown.

Yeah we have the "Guitar Center" and "Sam Ash", but better than that we have "Just Drums" here on the southside. Shane the owner is great to deal with.

Well, Tom, I'm in RVA too. I'm not a drummer but I'm looking for one. I'm Siyani, lead singer of a new RVA pop rock band, Cherry Red. We had to let our drummer go recently and looking for a new one. Any chance you know a scik drummer looking for a band or that you are yourself?

Hey Drummer, I'm right down the interstate in Newport News. I just joined up with a new band. When we start to play shows out soon, I'll give you a shout if you want to make the trip.
    Love my Gretsch sound!

Sounds good! I get down that way all the time, mostly to VA beach.

I live about an hour from Richmond. My old band rehearsed there 3 times a week last year near the baseball stadium. Lamb Of God practiced right behind us.

I love the Richmond area. Best music scene in the state!

If I could live anywhere I think I would choose Roanoke, VA. We ride our motorcycles down that way every 2 years or so. Skyline drive and the Blue ridge parkway are one of my favorite places. Someday I would love to move down there. Been looking for a good job down that area for a year now.

I travel to VA a lot for work. Mostly Richmond, Newport News, Chesapeake, VA Beach, Hampton, Norfolk......all very nice areas. I'd live in any of those places given the chance.
