I'm located in the northern Sacramento suburbs. I would love to find a really good teacher(because I suck ).
Nice to make your acquaintance late8. I see that you sent a PM to me, but unfortunately I cannot respond until I hit a certain post count(silly rules anyway )
I'll definitely give you a call one of these days. Thanks!!
Im in bay point f$@? Sucks i cant find or start a band nobody out here has any talent
Unfortunately SJPro went tits up a few years ago.
So did Drum World ,Addato and CA Percussion.
Too many techies forcing the rent up.
my wife is from Hillsborough and wants to move back to the SF area in the next 5 years. I'll be looking for a band when that happens...
We'd probably move north of SF though, somewhere in between SF and Petaluma

Fremont here. It's an utter wasteland as far as the music scene goes.
Born in SF grew up in Sacramento. Any of you guys remember The Stone in San Francisco off Broadway?. I played there once in 92 or 93. Opened for a band named Asphalt Ballet. Anyway visited my brother last summer and on the way home had a little layover and went in the city. Everything looks the same Big Al's, the Condor, etc.
The Stone has been closed for years but it was fun to see it again. It's a strip club now I think. Seems like they all turn into one of those when they close down. Same thing with Shire Road Pub in Sacramento. Played there a few times and it's now a strip club or was. Sad they're all gone.

Played the Keystone circuit in the 80's when they were still all open.
Monday nights were a b!tch when it came to pay for play.
Interesting poster I saw the other day is that it looks like the old Leo's music building is now a night club.

Will check to see what's up.

nice! I didn't get to Oakland too much just the Collesium a few times. Scary place sometimes. I was in Sacramento by the time I was old enough to get in the clubs so I don't know all the names.
Got any pics of the fibes?
