Hey, welcome to DC Chat's Aussie chapter, I think there's one or two other Queenslanders that come on now and then. I'm not worried where ya from at the least. So long as you've got that Aussie sense of humour, it may be Ocker, it may not, depends, that's all that matters. AC/DC were originally 60% Scottish:

Angus Young, Malcolm Young and Bonn Scott were scottish immigrants to Aus.
Phil Rudd, Mark Evans (and then Cliff Williams) are Aussies.
Brian Johnson is a Geordie (Newcastle) and i think your man Chris Slade is a Londoner?

However, you guys did produce INXS, Cold Chisel, Midnight Oil and the Cat Empire so well done on that (not sure about Jason Donavan and Kylee Minogue though lol)

Well, Cliff Williams was born in London and grew up there and Liverpool.

Phil Rudd is Aussie born....but did you know his folks came from Lithuania? His real surname is Rudzevecuis. But you're right, both him and Mark Evans are Aussie born. Simon Wright who replaced him is English, and Chris Slade who replaced him is from the UK as well, although he's Welsh (probably why he worked with Tom Jones for a while in the '60's?). Mark also used to have a share in the ownership of Jackson's Rare Guitars here in Sydney. How I know that is that a good mate of mine, Noel Evans (no, they're not related, lol) bought Mark's share and helped to run the store after Mark left it. They've know each other for quite a while apparently.

Yep sure do mate - know it well. I used to hang around with some dudes from Rostrevor and Athelstone when I was younger. I've lived in Norwood for about 10 years now.
