Just slow down and practice, The speed will come in due time.
I can do double bass burst really fast but when i go to do a lot of hits in a row i cant go fast at all. Also i recently changed the settings on my double bass like head tightness and some pedal adjusments could that be part of the problem to?? becuse before i could go pretty fast but hated the sound of my bass drum thanks!
Just slow down and practice, The speed will come in due time.
But when i go on diffrent sets i can go so fast im getting really mad because i dont know what it is!!!!!! i had my double kick for like 3 years and i started out slow got faster over time.
if youve changed all your settings and kick head then you will probably have changed the throw of the beaters, the power from the footplate and the rebound.
That means that the way you previously learned will not be as effective.
Do as the other guys say.
Start very slowly and just build it up till you get used to it again
It's a sign! Double bass drum at super-high tempos is overkill!
I really don't get the obsession. It's like a drummer's attempt to "compensate" for something.
Of course this is only my opinion. Bass booming 32nd and 64th notes or higher is just too much for any music.
I agree with that its just that i like to but random double bass moments in songs when your not expecting it. I mean i hate death metal its the most pointless thing. Yet i would like to have speed for certain moments.
also i think its because i tightend my bass head alot. so im not used to the feel but i will take your advice and start out slow until i get used to it thanks for the help!!
