Have you tried increasing the trigger's Rej(ection) or SelfRej values?
One of those should help fixing the double triggering.
Hay everyone,
I just bought a Yamaha DTXPRESS drum kit. It is a great drum kit, but I am having severe problems with the kick bass. It will skip or double. I have played with the sensetivity, gain, volume, decay levels but it still causes me grief. Is there a level setting that I need to adhere to?? Any suggestions or links are very much appreciated!
Thanx!!

Did you buy this used?...If so, have you done a factory reset?...sometimes people will get the settings all messed up...and the best thing to do at that point is set it back and start over.....also what DTXpress do you have?
I have the same kit and have same problem! But I think with mine I need a new bass pad. Recently my bass pad almost stopped working completely. It still has the double hit thing but it is also much softer... time for a new pad!!
I bought mine used about 10 years ago and the kick pad was awful. I bought a new KP65 trigger for mine and it solved the problem.
