Ever shopped the Walmart Supercenter at Collinsville Crossing? I'm one of the people greeters (just change the Santa suit to a Walmart-blue polo shirt and you've got the bongobro)!

And I've written occasional columns for the Collinsville Herald and Granite City Press-Record newspapers!

Belvidere Illinois here next to #1 crime-city in America Rockford which is a big music town with lots of bands. ive got a GC 15 mins away plus a backup store just as close. we have Rock City Drums which is a custom acrylic drum maker in town, they make beautiful drums that sound great. if you are a good drummer in these parts you are in high demand, everyone here plays guitar. you can pick up a gig in 5 mins.
Bun E Carlos has a really nice house here.
supposedly there are 2 other drummers in the area that can pass as twin brothers of mine, never met them but i get mistaken for one of them every time i walk into GC. waddup with that?

Drumming since 1965 and still going!

I am missing the nois (Illinois) with all this fall weather coming. I would encourage you suburb guys to take a trip west on I-80 to the Utica Illinois exit(about 30 miles west from I-55/I-80 interchange) to Starved rock and Mathiesian state parks. Great fall color, water falls, sand stone canyons, etc. Check it out on youtube, people have video's on there of the place. It will amaze you that all that is in the nois.
