I never use them. I just know where my stands should be from gig to gig. Am I the only one, or do you guys use 'em?

I use them on my stands, tom mounts, and floor tom legs. They save time and I don't spend the whole gig adusting eveything.

Yea, I use them too. For me, it's a big help. On stands where there is no place for one (like the tilters on a cymbal stand) I put a thin piece of clear scotch tape accross the "teeth", then cut the tape with a razor blade. Now when I set up, I just line up the tape. And no one can see it because it's clear.

One of my favorite pieces of equipment is my "drum rug". It's marked with all the spots the "feet" need to be placed, and makes setting up my kit lightning fast. I cannot imagine going on a gig without it !! Obviously, the first piece that gets placed into it's "notches" is the bass drum. From there it'a a piece of cake. ( partial assembley required ).

Yea, bass drum has to go first. Even so, it still takes me an hour to set up my kit...

Have memory locks everywhere. Everything is taped and numbered. Our stage manager sets up my drums every gig. When I do local gigs, I set them up but I use a different kit and it has no memory anything. I just know where it all goes after years of playing.

I have them on my stands since others frequently help knock down stuff. I find small differences in my setup annoying, so it keeps most things where they should be.

I love memory locks, even though I am not gigging like most. Since I am now doing a contemporary service at the church each week, I can see how it is important to be able to set up quickly, and to be able to set up the kit the same way each time would be important to me. Memory locks rule!

I don't really like memory locks. I've taken all mine off. The set never really needed it except for my drum throne.

Only on my cymbal stands. I have taken them off of the DW floor toms. And with my Pearl kit, memory locks are a must with the rack.

Since I haul all my gear between 2 duffle bags and a large carry-on, I have to fold down the stands so, no...I don't use memory locks. I can see where they would be most helpful, though.
