Making Videos with a Macbook

I have a Mac Book and I have made a video just playing and the built in mic did a decent job. What I was wondering is how I can layer a song over my playing in Ivideo. Instead of just having the song playing in the background I would like to layer it for better sound quality. I do have a 8 input audio interface with a condenser mic, but no drum mics. Any suggestions.

Dude, I did this. Do a search for my video of The Black Crowes song "Horse Head".

I used a regular camcorder to record the video and then Apple's Garage Band to record my audio with the built-in mic in my MacBook Pro. Then I layered the actual song from my iPod on a second track.

It was a bit tricky to sync the audi & video in iMovie, but it really wasn't bad at all to do.
