Here is my home recording studio.
First thing is acoustic treatments on the wall then I use a Digi 002 and an ADA8000 interfaced with a light pipe giving me 16 XLR inputs. Also sent my ADA and 002 to Black lion and had them gutted and modified. Using Audix mics with my snare double mic'ed (Batter and reso). Using a subkick mic as well that my brother (mixing engineer) built for me.I also use an x-y positioning for my overheads and I have two Octava 219 mics ( modified as well) as room mics According to my bro I am getting the closest to professional sounds without stepping out to 6000 dollar mics and pre's.

Anyway here are some pics. BTW, pulled my ADA out because my brother had to borrow it for some recording at a site recently.

I haven't done any recording except with a two track digital field recorder to see how the band sounds during practices.

I mic my Ludwigs for gigs through my basic PA set up. Here a few pics of the drums mic'd and my PA gear.

I just bought a really cheap 8 track digital portastudio (TASCAM DP-02) to experiment with some simple recordings which should be fun. I'm trying to crack the instruction manual and I'm lost.

    Drum mics:

    2x- Audix D2 tom mics
1- Audix D4 Floor tom mic
    1- D6 Bass drum mic
    1- Audix i5 snare mic
    2- Shure 57

    PA:

    Peavy XR8600 (2x 600 watts) PA head
Berringer 1500 (2x 700 watts) amp for subs
    dbx 234 stereo crossover

    PA speakers:

    2x-PV115 15" main speakers
    2x-PV118 18" sub woofers
    2x-PR15 15" floor monitors
