YYZ solo from RUSH's 'Exit Stage Left' cd on my electronics

I'm sure I'll take the hit for this one but just stumbled across this vid I did a couple years ago with my electronics before i got my acoustic kit. If you're familiar with this solo from Rush's 'Exit Stage Left' live cd then you might recognize it.

here's another one from that cd.. LaVilla Strangiato... I'm trying to play along to a live cd which is hard because even Rush tends to change tempo speeds here and there live.

I dream of the day I can play any RUSH tune from start to finish without stopping. How did you learn to play Neils stuff?

I'm assuming lots and lots of practice.

I've tried playing lots of Rush before, and it's not hard it just takes a long time to remember anything and get it all down to perfection.

I am by no means saying that I'm a great drummer, I mean I have only played drums for a year.

But I was able to play "closer to the heart" fine by Rush, it just took much practice.

I say if you really wanna play Rush I think you can, just practice the song over and over.
