Welcome to DC Mike_L looks like you're having fun! You look relaxed and you're enjoying the moment. Nice kit too.

Thanks! I was actually just borrowing that set during a "gig" in Hawaii from one of the locals. I didn't even own a drum set at the time, so I was happy to play on a nice set. (I must say though, the set I own now is a lot nicer!)

Me thinks you should just be yourself and ham it up to your liking. IMHO, when we're too focused on what we look like when doing our art, we're missing the point of expression in the first place. Here's a couple of my "looks".

BTW, I can't seem to inbed the pics here and I don't know why...

In all honesty i would say it depends on the mood of the song and the type of music you play. I dont think many country drummers are gonna headbang haha.
I personally Play Death Metal and i tend to go a little overboard when i play live. I usually pay for it the next day. I headbang, i stand up in the middle of songs, i scream at the crowd. I have bleed on many occasions from punching cymbals haha. Basically i like to give a good show, if it starts affecting the quality of my plaaying i tone it down, but for the most part i keep it balanced and know where i can fit in some excitement.
I get lots of compliments because people know im having fun and they enjoy seeing a good show. My whole band moves like crazy on stage and i think it gets the crowd going.
