Lived in Winter Garden up until February. I'm back in NY for the next two years, then I'll be moving back to Winter Garden. I love that town.

My brother just bought a house in Winter Garden. Very nice area, despite all the bad happenings you hear on the news. I live over by UCF myself. I HATE IT!

Honestly, that town is great. They do a lot of cultural events in the downtown area, there isn't a stitch of graffiti anywhere, and the crime is low due to the strong police presence. Normally I'd be opposed to so many cops everywhere because it usually leads to unnecessary harassment from bored cops, but somehow that just doesn't happen there. The property taxes are also pretty low (compared to neighboring towns) due to the new shopping center. It's owned by the city and so they lowered taxes on homeowners and let the rent and taxes from the stores make up for it. The local government is surprisingly efficient. Your brother made a good choice in moving there.
The UCF area can be kinda crappy just because of all the kids raising Hell seven nights a week. But that's gotta be a great environment for playing the drums!

I lived in Casselberry in 1990. Those were some fun times.to be 21 again! I hear they tore down the House of Babes. I think that was in Longwood?? 17/92 and 436.
