Well Frank was a drummer, an Italian and knew his food.....so if I had ever met him in real life we would have gotten on fine and called each other "paesan" ... I joined DC chat after he left, but it seems like everyone else's memory of him has made him live on forever.

    Ciao Franco.

    Cool Re: Tribute to Frank

Larry, I think of Frank when I hear some well-performed big band music; those of you who came on board after he passed away may not know that he loved big band music and was himself a skillful drummer with a band of his own.

And, although we never got together to add some Latin beats to his music, we came to respect and admire each other for what we had done in our musical journeys. And Frank had such a sense of discipline in his musical and personal affairs, it's one of the many reasons his signature became part of mine...

Frank, we love ya, man...and we remember...
keep the beat goin' ... Don't keep it to yourself!

I was talking to a fellow drummer yesterday and I mentioned Franks name. Of course I then went on to tell him all about Frank. Especially the story about Joey Jordison wanting to sit in on his kit. His advice and friendship meant a lot to me.

Not sure I've heard that story, but it sounds like a good one!

Ummm you said where twice. LOL

This was taken in the fall of 2008 near Des Moines Iowa. I traveled from the eastern border of Iowa for some business the following days. We had talked about meeting up and that evening he came to my hotel to spend a few hours face to face.

Frank has been gone 10 years. Wow.

He'd be proud to see we are still going and growing.

Wish we had a picture of his kit for the background image.

I hope his family is well.
