    Default Trigger Question

I just picked up a Simmons SD7PK at the Black Friday sales, and I am very impressed. However, the kick pad isn't working well for me. I was wondering if I could upgrade just the kick pad to a Roland KD85. If I purchase this, will it still work with the SD7PK drum module? Thanks!

What don't you like about your current kick pad?

Sorry. Probably should have elaborated more. What I don't like is that although it is supposedly able to handle a double bass pedal, it doesn't. When I attempt to use the double bass it only reads about half of the notes. I've increased the pad's sensitivity and attempted to play at a slower tempo, but it won't read hardly any double bass notes that I attempt to play.

you may have a faulty cable, an unconfigured module, or possibly need to hit the surface harder. just some ideas to look into before getting a whole kickpad unit..
