    I lived in Dallas for a year in '82 on Ridgecrest Rd. Drove there in this: 5016.jpg

    '68 Vette, 350HP 327, 4 speed, original sidepipes (loud). It was a better balanced car than the 427 Vette's. They were not built for drag racing, a hole shot just made the rear bounce, you had to roll the car at the chrondeks, but a fun car to drive on the highway and it drew a crowd every place I stopped.

    It's a weird feeling knowing that my 4 cyl. turbo Eco-Boost would have dusted it by 6-7 car lengths and my GT by 3 1/2 to 4 seconds in the 1/4 which is about 12-15 car lengths.
