Nice setup musiqman. I see you have some type of sound module with a foot pedal. I am looking to add some foot controlled sounds as well and I don't really have a clue. What is your setup?
Finally mine:
After years of rental these two, i finally bought the Patato's. Im thinking to buy a second quinto in the same Spider Web finish with these guys have stand in the shop too later this year.
Also im planning to have the djembe (Remo 12'' Leon Mobley Face Mask signature) and bongo's (Leo Percussion from Alberto de Hond) painted in the same finish too.
Ps. the timbales are Puente's but without any logo or something like that so they where 1/3 cheaper but sound the same. Love them!

Thank you!
Im using Yamaha DTX products as far as electronics goes. On this particular rig I used a DTXM12 multi pad (great cuban, brazilian, japans, african, orchestral and fx sound libraries and settings) a HH65 hihat controller, a TP65 triple zone trigger pad and a sustain pedal.
I also own 2x BP80 trigger bar pads (works perfect in a bigger percussion rig) and a kick trigger (KP120 with real head)
Also I'm using Ableton live on my Macbook Pro for sequences and larger loops.
I want to buy some FatKat pedals a Korg Wavedrum or Roland Handsonic and maybe a Nord Drum (looks very interesting)

thank Musiqman, I will start looking into those items.
Great looking rig musiqman!
You may have seen them before. I took them to my praise band and on a road trip and on the beach. Durable and sound sweet.
Eventually I might look into getting something a bit better that can withstand some nicer heads. And they are also getting something on the bottom rim that looks like water damage :( but I don't know for sure. It doesn't feel soft or anything, so maybe its ok.
But for now they do the job

I'd truly love to show you my Water Drum, but, for the life of me, I can't figure out how to post a pic here...
Here's my Water Drum. It takes about 2 gallons, a Digitech RP100 and a Vox amp, but I can get HUNDREDS of different sounds out of it.

Helloprobie,
When you mouse over the picture of your water drum in Photobucket, you will see 4 options. Choose the bottom one that says IMG. Just click on the code portion. It will be automatically copied to your clipboard. Then paste it into the DrumChat post.

Mike, great pictures! like the fact that you have your drums off the concrete floor on a riser! good idea, from the looks of the thickness of basement walls this is an Old home..they must be at least 12" thick or better! looks like you are very comfortable playing...a sign of a pro.
Enjoy the Music!

Well, should be getting my hands on a Toca djembe in a couple of weeks or so, just put a deposit down today.
Also, had a bit of a squizz through a few of my photo albums.....dunno if I posted some of these pics before or not......I know I posted a few pics of what was the percussion collection back then, but a few of these individual shots I might not have. Well, they may not be items strictly played with hands, but they are definitely percussion.

Thanks Russco! I don't often gig the slit drum out, mainly because I don't find a lot of musical situations that it would fit into, and it's definitely not a rock 'n' roll kind of instrument. Nevertheless, it is a pretty cool sounding thing. Goes well with hand drum jams, especially if you want something to contrast with a whole bunch of djembes.
As for the marimba, it's not really that heavy at all. It's collapsible. The bars can be all taken off (the two rows of bars are all connected on two 'courses' of cords), and once they are carefully wrapped and then rolled into a couple of protective sheets (so that none of the bars touch each other in the process) then the resonating tubes can fold up, as well as the rest of the frame, wheels etc be all taken apart, collapsed and folded up for ease of transport. The whole thing can be reassembled in less than 10 mins, just like a drumkit, once you get a certain routine happening.

Hi Russ, yeap it is..it's a Milltone drum of mine, and it goes well for my use. I usually revise/tweak my setup based on what i need for the particular event/set. In a week's time, i'm doing the opening for a new International Cruise Terminal, a solo performance, and i'm using these:
Cheers and Regards,
Nick
There are a lot of great setups posted here, giving me some great ideas to try.
