Good to see you back Tropicat! I can't help you with the Meinl, but I'm pretty sure Cuco is pretty familure with Meinl stuff, I'm sure he will jump in here and help you out.
Hello everyone. Glad to be back. It's been awhile.
I wanted to ask if anyone has any history or details on Meinl Live Sound Series Fiberglass Bongos. I have a red set that was made in Thailand, but I believe it was just after Germany. Hope someone might have some info, links,
etc..
Thanks.
The White set is not Live Sound Series, but look identical. The bearing edges on Meinl Bongos are great, semi sharp.
I hope if anyone has a chance to pick up an older set of these do so. They are worth it. I paid under 100 dollars for each of these and am very happy with them. The white set has new mule and cow heads and I put rubber between the block and shells for extra protection and looks.
The red set needs to be restored, my next project.
Thanks very much.
