Limewire

Anybody use Limewire? My guitar player uses it, and I would love to be able to have an unlimited resource for music, but I am WAY paranoid about getting a virus......any info? Thanks!

Pretty much all of my school uses it. It's pretty much the most popular source out there. I find it completely safe, just don't be downloading anything bad, plus right now it's completely legal.

Limewire is ok, but heaps of the time there aren't enough sources for whatever file you wish to download.

My mate has "Frostwire". Which is an open-source project, and very very safe from viruses. I'd suggest that for downloading single files. I tend to use torrents for everything though.

I have also used KaZaA and Morpheus, but I found trouble with Kazaa and Morpheus just wasn't popular enough and there weren't the songs I wanted.

Plus I think Limewire is the most popular, so it's the best IMO

i use and i have failed to yet get a virus. but than again i don't use it often because i rather buy the cds. But i say go for it. Just know what your downloading though, some things are fakes and can give you a virus. So before you download anything look to see if the file size is at a normal size for a song

yea i had that problem {amp} with morpheus... they didnt have all the songs i wanted. i use just iTunes now, but u have to pay {eew} and they dont have certain bands like AC/DC!! that makes me mad =[
but it doesnt really matter cuz i have a bunch of the cds, but still!

What iTunes doesn't have AC/DC, that's a gosh darn outrage!!

I can't personally say I'm a fan, but that is pathetic, that they have all these unknown bands on iTunes but not AC/DC, pathetic.
