That size sells for $57 without rivets and $85 with rivets(depending where you shop), so i'd say it's a fantastic deal. If it's in any kind of good condition i'd pick it up for sure, if you can spare the 20 and think your musical tastes could benefit from having it amongst your lineup. I generally consider paying 1/2 cost good for a used item, but a third or a fourth of the retail is a true deal!

Yeah there from the camera. It has quite a bit of hammering on the edge but none anywhere else on cymbal, kinda different. It sounds great and I'm impressed to say the least. It's pretty thick on the edge so it should be pretty durable.

Marko try one out,it would be great for your music.

I took a whack at a few Wuhan's today at the shop. I just cannot get behind the sound coming from the ones at the shop. I hit 3 different 16" and 2 14". I hated all of them.

Might have been the room? I have noticed a lot of kits sound great a gc because of the giant ceiling and long walkways, but the cymbal room not so much because it's smaller and the cymbal you hit echoes the sounds from the other ones to confuse you. The right one is out there, don't give up the search!

Out of the 2 16" chinas, they were very similar. I ended up picking mine because it had very slightly more trash. When I play it, it reminds me of Matt Greiner's china from August Burns Red, which is exactly what I was looking for. I also tried a 14" HHX and I feel like the 14" Wuhan would sound just like it, because mine's pretty close. The only difference being I paid $70 and the HHX was $175. Anyway, onto the pics!

Says a lot about consistency; Mine sounds like Matt's china too! I have a 16" now, I had a 18", but I cracked the heck out of it.
So itchie, how did the kick sound?

It's possible...but I've bought almost every cymbal I own at the same shop and played them in the same room. The Wuhan's just sound so harsh with little musicality in there. I don't find the same to be true with other cymbals.

I might just buy one one of these days. They are only $33 bucks for a 16".

    Hello one and all!

I'm starting to think about adding some affects cymbals to my setup. I suspect this will be a gradual thing. I play a variety of music from church/gospel to rock (think Stereophonics and Foo Fighters, etc).

I am possibly looking at a china and the Wuhans caught my eye as a great place to start given their relative inexpensiveness (is that even a word!?) Given the type of music I play I suspect a 16" would suit me best (I have read and understand the comments about the uniqueness of all Wuhans). I am also looking at Ozone style crashes.

My current cymbal setup is - All Sabian:

    AAX 13" Fusion Hats
    AAX 10" Splash
    AAX 12" Splash
    AAXplosion 14" Crash
    AAXplosion 16" Crash
    AAXplosion 18" Crash
    AA 21" Rock Ride

    Thanks for your help!

Wuhans are really great. They're cheap, and they sound good. I have a 16" China and like I and another guy here said, it's comparable to an A custom or K custom dark china (not sure which he uses). I know off hand the K is $295, I picked mine up for $63. Some say durability is an issue with these, but I mount mine inverted and I play pretty hard, and haven't noticed anything. But I've only had it a couple months. Also, they are more consistent then some say, I think. I played two 16's when I bought mine, and they sounded nearly identical. I picked mine over the over because the hole on the other one was slightly off center. Today, I just picked up an 8" and 10" splash. Got the pair for a little over $50 and I love them. ONLY thing is, on the 8, there's a little nick in the top, but it still sounds great. Consistency you ask? Mine sound identical to others showcased on youtube. I'll be posting a video and pictures later tonight. Oh and fyi, I play em with Xs20's so they should go pretty well with aax's as well.

Sorry it took so long, here are the pics! Six 1-1/4" holes, and six 1/4" holes...

It is incredibly trashy. It also decays way faster now, perfect for real quick, trashy accents.

That looks wicked!! Those holes seem to be really accurately spaced. Wouldn't mind trying this myself lol. What size in the china?

Anyone ever used one of these? They look interesting. I've found a half decent demo vid on youtube and they don't sound too bad judging from that.
