Sabian or Zildjian?

i use both, depending on what sounds better for my needs, sabian AAX crashes and ride, and Zildjian A custom mastersound hats

Zildjian and Sabian are just about on a stand-still as far as popularity goes...
Currently I'm using the Sabian B8 starter set cymbals with a AAX Sabian Splash, and a Wuhan 16" China.

Its sorta a hybrid as of now, and will probably stay that way. I like a lot of different sounds and Zildjian and Sabian deliver great.
I also heard good things about Paiste hi-hats, are those any good?

If it were possible, I would sit down, blindfolded, and hit a variety of cymbals without knowing the brand names. I'd listen to what sounds good for ME and the type of music I play. I think a lot of people, if they did this, would be very suprised at the ones they chose on sound alone.

That is an amazing idea, i would definatly agree, as long as price is not a factor

Because what ive noticed, sabians about 50$ cheaper higher end than zildjian, so right now, im debating, AAX or A zildjian, AAX comes with more and costs less, but ive heard amazing things about A zildjian but im currently on zildjian

What would be funny is if all the zildjian signed drummers were suddenly with sabian. then again that would suck cuz sabian prices would go up somehow.

Sabian are waaaaaaaayyyy more popular up here in canada than zildjian

like everyone uses Sabian
Maybe that's cuz they are canadaian made.

It doesn't matter to me however it sounds is what i look for. But currently i have mostly Sabian on my set

i vote sabian. i use mostly sabian cymbals except for zildjian hihats which i have a really old pair that has matured nicely.

Hey, pikpoket...you hit upon something (pun intended)...do we buy our cymbals or anything else for sound or for show? Wonder how many of us would try this ourselves?

Do not agree, they never out do each other, its like ford and chevy, their always fighting each other, its also opinions, its never safe to say, hey paiste is teh best line out there because they have the 2002's, because thats your opinion, sabian and zildjian have paragons and k customs, so its all opinions on that
