What are some cool add-ons that you guys have on your sets?
I was thinking of throwing on my little set of bells to see what I could do with it.

    Feedback?

    I have...
A set of melodic temple bells [I got a lot more use out of them then people might generally think]
    Drumset tambourine
    A cow bell or two

But the bells, that would actually be quite cool, I may have to try that

It depends how far you want to go with it, you're only limited by your imagination. I like some of the clamp on cymbal stands, I'll take all of the cymbals I can get.

I have a set of jingles I put on my hats every once in a while. I don't use them much though. I also have a wood block, 2 LP blast blocks, and a cowbell that I use all the time.

Yeah I'm gonna try that when I get home tonight! Slap on a set of bells and see what it will sound like.

I love having "add-on's". I want more, but I currently have,
LP ice bell, LP cowbell, sleigh bells(one group hanging and one group wrapped around the hi-hat guide rod and clutch-same effect as the jingle-hat), LP tamborine, OM chimes(double row 72 bar), Remo 8" and 10" Spokes.

No octobans yet. I currently have 4 roto-toms (6",6",8",10". The other 8" & 10" are the ones I turned into the Remo Spokes.) I'd love to have a set of octobans, but I don't know where I'd put them. I think I"m just about out of room... I already have 2 cymbals and another set of hi-hats that I don't have room for.

I used to have a Top Hat hi-hat tambourine but I prefer a pretty basic kit-- I just recently added an extra rack tom (for a grand total of 2!). Usually a hi-hat, kick, snare and maybe a tom or crash will make me happy

I was looking through a magazine and I saw a strange cymbal by Zildjian called a trash cymbal.
It was like an apple peeling only with a cymbal...it was strange! I would love to see how one of those sound.

Then, buy a 20"-22" kick drum and tune it, mess with it a little bit, turn it into a Boom tom (or some called them gong drums).
Then I would wear my feet out so much when I do heavy double bass things!

I just picked up a LP Mounted Cyclops Tambourine with LP mount. The set-up seems well constructed and durable. Time will tell.

LOL! What made you guys start reading a 3 year old thread?

Anyway, I used to have an LP Cowbell and Jam Block on my set but I haven't used them in a while. The Tama clamp I had started to put small cracks in the bass hoop and the LP stuff never seems to stay tightened. I would have to re-tighten the cowbell and jam block like every 15-30 minutes. It got annoying.

I don't know anything about their drums, but the Pork Pie Round Throne is incredibly comfortable and solid.

I didn't mean you have to get all of those, it's just some ideas for stuff to choose from. How far you take it is up to you
