if your talking like insanlely huge and unaffordable it'd be neil peart's R30. i think the perfect size set (for me at least) would be the pearl export 8 piece rock set, things *****in.

Well, PDP is their entry-level kit, like the difference betweem a Pearl Masters Custom and a Pearl Export, ya know? From what I understand, the guys at DW (Don Lombardi, president, and John Good, vice president) decided to start making an entry-level line to boost their cash flow so they could spend more money doing research and development for the Collector's Series, as well as having the extra cash to offer more exotic finishes and more options for the Collector's Series kits.

Really you think a PDP and a Pearl Export are equal quality?

Or were you just comparing the entry-levelness of the two?

BB....thanks, bro! And you're in the neighborhood....I figure around 11-12 thousand to replace that kit today, including all the hardware, cymbals, and a good set of cases. BUT....if I were to replace that kit, it would probably cost me a bit more than that, as I would probably get an exotic finish, gold hardware, etc, etc.....

Well, Amp, the top-of-the-line PDP is better than an Export, in my opinion, but yeah, I was just making a point, lol
