what's the difference in Sonor 1007 and the 3007 's . All I can tell is the 1007 is basswood , the hardware looks the same. thanks, ronnie

    I believe you are correct.

    The 2007's are birch.

Put a set of white Ambassadors on the 3007's and they sound very much like a DW collectors series. And for a lot less, I must say.

In addition, for the 3007s snare and bassdrum, I believe you get 10 lugs on each head (instead of the standard 8).

My Force 2001s are actually the new Force 1007 which is basswood. I've had them for about 8 years now and have no complaints. They are great live and decent for studio recording. Now, if you're talking brand new for $399, then that's a good deal. However, for used, not so much...I would offer $200-$300..depending on their condition. Good luck !

I just got back from playing my 3007's bought new less than 1 year ago for around $700. It was the Special Edition pack (6 piece) with an 8" tom added. I love my SONORs (and my MAPEXs too!) Both provide a ton of value for the buck.

$399.99 brand new , shipping included. How do they compare to the VSX Pearl Vision's ?
    thanks, ronnie
