Remo vs. Evans?

they both make similair heads, like the Remo Emperors are similair to Evans G2s aand Remo Pinestripes are similair to Evans EC2s

is it true that evans drumheads are made better? iv been reading reviwes for different drum heads, and a lot of drummers are saying they used to use remo then switched to evans and loved the sound of the evans heads

I've been playing around with different heads on my kit from both manufacturers and they both make a good product. As northern Redneck stated, It's all personal choice. I don't think you can go wrong with either one.

To make the best comparison, you would have to try every head from both brands to see how their technologies differ. You won't be dissappointed either way you choose because new heads really make your drums shine. Evans has an original sound with some of their heads like emad's and hydraulics, whereas Remo has other famous innovations like CS and fibreskyns. Each head has a character all it's own.

how would clear G2s sound compared to clear Emperors? and how would the clear EMAD2 sound compared to the clear Power Stroke 3?

I believe Emperors and G2 are identical (both 2-ply; 7 mil).
