Tommy Igoe's groove essentials
And welcome to DC
Hi DrumChat, I've been a reader to the forum for about a month now and so I decided to finally create a profile. I just bought a Gretsch Drums Catalina Birch set- but only with the 10" tom, 22" kick 16" floor tom (the 12 inch tom was damaged and so I didn't want it) with Remo emperor heads for a couple hundred bucks off craigslist. Playing with JUST the 10" and 16" tom is really cool and maybe I'll pick up a 12" later (or maybe not ) I already had a vintage 70's Supraphic Ludwig snare that I used with my previous set.
I want to get more into Jazz/ blues music. Where do you recommend to get some beginning CDs or DVDs?

+1 for Groove Essentials!
Nice to have you aboard!
For years, my setup was 6" 10" 18"FT, so my primary ride tom that did the most work was the 10". I liked that arrangement, and with the right 10" tom, it works just fine.

Welcome to Drum Chat.
My personal opinion would be to get yourself a 14" floor to match the 16". You'll have a very fun kit to play then. And you won't have to move your ride cymbal.
