    Default help with pos pedals

i have a dw 7000 series double pedal. my problem is that i cant get enough tension out of it, the beater just lolligags in midair when i play a quick double. i have the spring as tight as it goes. and have pulled the beaters down to try to make it react quicker. any ideas? two springs maybe?

I heard you can play faster when you get a lot of beater distance and swing, so maybe try moving the beater up high and far back from the head?

Speed isnt about pedals its about technique.

And in a set ow DW 7000's there should be plenty of response. A solution like doubling the springs would only be a way of trying to compensate for poor technique.

Sounds like something is not tightened, maybe? There are usually set screws that are not easy to see that require the use of an allen wrench. If you know this or have tried this already, then sorry and never mind. I have a pair of 8000B's and I could feel a slight lag time with the beater on the right side and that was the problem.

You can buy thicker springs at the hardware store.
