    Default Trixon Drums

I did a DC search for Trixon and didn't find anything. They made some interesting stuff back in the 1950s and 60s.

The Trixon Speedfire had two chambers inside the uniquely shaped bass drum. Two bass pedals were used to produce two different pitches.

The Telstar was a kit in which the batter sides of the toms / bass were larger or smaller then the resos, depending on the configuration.

I like the look of this 8x5.5 birch popcorn snare the brand is making today. The lugs match the current Yamaha SCB snare lugs.

Man, those are some weird looking drums, very unique and I'm sure they are hot collectors kits now. Wouldn't mind having a set in my living room for a conversation piece. I would tell everyone I got pissed at a gig and threw the bass drum out the window.
I would also like to find (and be able to afford) a set of North drums. I had a friend in Detroit back in the 80's who played a set and they actually sounded pretty good.

A book has been published, in Europe, on the history of Trixon. I'm of the understanding that Rebeats offers this book.

I'm bumping this hoping someone may own this snare or have had a chance to handle and play one. I can't find any reviews or YouTube vids showcasing this.
