I have a Ludwig Accent

I Use Remo Coated Emperors

Never had a reason to buy real resonant heads...but now I do

I'm gigging alot these days so I figred why not?


SO, help me out.


What resonant heads go good with Remo Coated Emperors?

Clear ambassadors? I'm getting back into remo too. I'm sick of evans. Back in the day I started out on remo pinstripes. Now for a jazz kit, I want to use fiberskyn's! :

ive been pondering clear emperors to go with my emperor batters , but i dont know

coated emp batter = clear amb for versatility, or clear dips for pimpness

I have found that a emp over amb isn't always the right sound on every tom. It seems like the smaller the drum is, the better it sounds with a more open tone. For a floor tom, i'd recommend a Emp/Emp setup to get a heavy sound because of the size issue.

Aquarian texture coated over classic clear, works so well you hardly know it's there..

the other option is to use attack classic clears

there pritty much the same as ambassadors .In a way ambassadors are probably going to sound better because that's what remo would have used in the development of the emperor

Clear Ambassadors are the norm, but I have seen some with coated and sounded very good

i have a friend that plays with coated emps over clear emps, even the rack toms sound like cannons, but thats not really the sound that everyone goes for though
