Just recently, I picked up an Alesis DM Pro Module for the sole purpose of using electric cymbals. I have absolutely no plans now or ever of using anything aside from electric cymbals with this module, considering that I live in an apartment, and my neighbors hate me (can't imagine why.) Anyway, today I was playing around with my module, and I tried to program my crashes to trigger from the tom ports. Although this does work, I noticed that I hear a drum with the crash on every strike. It can be passed off as a kick, but I'm just curious, anyone have experience with this module? Is there a way that I can eliminate the drum sound seeing as how I'm only using cymbals? By the way, I know what you're thinking...Why don't you just plug into the crash ports like a logical thinking person? I have, but it sounds awfully mild compared to the big boom that comes from the tom ports.
