The Dual-Zone Yamaha PCY65S Cymbals? Do they choke good? Overall performance? Would you recommend something else for my DTX set?

not too bad but I REALLY like the new ones. I will be selling off my 130 and 130S. The 135,155 series are great and ~150 per new.

Regarding the choke feature on Yamaha PCY65S cymbals, mine don't seem to be chokeable. I'm using a DTX500 module. Granted, I thought you were supposed to grab underneath the bottom front of the cymbal and that would enable the choke feature. I'm using the factory stereo cable, haven't made any adjustments to the module. What am I doing wrong? I seriously thinking about upgrading to the PCY135 & PCY 100 3 zone cymbals. Are they really worth the added expense? Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks, Dwight

I use the DTX500. Be sure to check that your cymbals are connected to inputs 5 & 6.
The choke feature does not work with some software such as Addictive Drums.
