    That's probably more mic's than what you'll need if you just wanna do some basic recordings. You could probably get away with a kick/snare mic, and a couple overhead condensers. But it all depends on what you want to do.

    You can find that same kit on amazon for about $200 less without the stands and cables, if you buy those locally, you'll probably save yourself a bunch on shipping if its coming from the US.

    Go to Steve's and get a pair of FC2's for $270. thats all you'll need for some great home recordings.

    to start off with, just the overheads will do forsore


    you could even go budget and get a pair of matched behringer over heads ....there cheep
