Wow....no answers? C'mon. Let me rephrase it.
I wanna know if i can assign a cymbal sound to a pad.
Hey guys
I am away at college for a couple more weeks, and being away from my drums is killing me. I was wondering if I took my "ride cymbal" wire and placed it in the "tom 1" socket for example, is it going to sound like a tom on my cymbal pad? Or am I going to be able to get a ride sound from plugging the ride wire into the tom 1 module socket.
I'm trying to see if I can elminate my first tom and have it become a ride and then have my 2 cymbal pads be 2 different crashes.
Is the socket for tom 1 on the module controlling all tom sounds? or is it the wire that makes the noise to the pad. Any help would be great. Thanks.

I dont see why not. The only reason I would think there would be a problem is if it expects a multizone pad, and doesnt have one.

Yes each module is shaped and designed to work well as what it is, but can trigger ANY input, you just might have to use a Y cable if it is not stereo.
Hope that made sense.
