Default Drummer's diet for the Studio

    Hey fellow drummers.

I'm heading into the studio this weekend and although I am the most prepared I've ever been re: knowing the songs, gear, tuning, and attitude i was curious if anyone could offer tips such as:

What to eat for breakfast and lunch to keep me focused and awake
How long before tracking should I eat. (I figure a couple hours)
What to drink during the day besides just water. Green tea maybe?
    Any mental exercises/meditation.

Also any other tips petaining to studio work would be much appreciated.

    Any help is much appreciated.

hey johnny,, i think you need to start the night before you go in the studio,, have yourself a nice pasta dinner . pasta= carbs , carbs = energy. the next day for breakfast, have a bowl of oatmeal and some fresh fruit . then a couple hours before you start recording, have a sandwich, or something light, nothing heavy. and when i used to record i'd always bring some candy just to munch on during the day . as for drinks, green tea, gatorade, water. you should be fine . have a great time . oh by the way, i am a certified chef ,so i have studied nutrition .

Fresh Pots! That was just too funny. I drink at least 8 cups full on before band practice, and I still find it hard to play "Slip Sliding Away"....[yawns]
