I ordered these on Tuesday, got em yesterday (Friday). They were packaged very well and came with pdp double braced hardware which included a hi-hat stand, straight stand, and a boom stand, bass pedal, and throne. The hardware is very solid and with a good fit and finish. The chrome had a couple of imperfections if you REALLY nit pick it (I am very picky). The finish on the drums looks great overall. There again if you REALLY nit pick it you will see some dirt specs that got the the paint and some very light orange peel, but there again, all of the drums that I have looked at Yamaha, DDrum, PDP, Tama, Pearl, ALL of them had this as well. The only set I seen that didn't have it was a $3500 set of DW's. Put the heads on with no problems, however they did short me 1 bolt for a lug. Everything went together as it should. I havent had a chance to get them totally set up so I can play them, but my initial thought of the drums is WOW, ALL OF THIS FOR $494 TO MY DOOR!!!! I looked at many used sets, some new sets, and everwhere in between, and wish I had just ordered these first. If you are even remotely thinking of getting a new set of drums, IN MY OPINION YOU WILL NOT FIND A BETTER VALUE THAN THESE!!!!! Now if I can figure the picture thing out, I will post some.

Awesome drum kit CP. Are there rubber gaskets underneath each lug? They look like great quality.
Yes, the lugs do have rubber gaskets under every lug. The quality actually blew me away, especially for the price!
I personally like the tom mounts on the 6 piece birch hybrid kit over those on the 7 piece. But it still looks great!

I will have to look at the 6 pc to see how they mount. I don't need more than a 5 pc, but the other 2 toms cost 80 bucks more, so I thought what the heck lol
Heres how the toms mount on the 6 piece hybrid version. The full kit with hardware is only like $500:

Nice looking kit. Always love new stuff. Really like that red sparkle finish. Now all you need is new heads. The stock heads are okay for a while, but you need some Remo's or some Evans to really make the kit sing true. I used the stock heads till I collected Remo pins for everything, but that was a Maple kit. Their still good for the reso side. Can't wait for a finished set-up pic. Custom Classic Militia rules!

Hahaha! Good one 2slow! These drums are really that good! The fact that they are priced ridiculously low scares a lot of folks off - thinking that if they are that cheap, they must be ..well..cheap!
Not so. If you look at it from a marketing standpoint it makes sense that they would be so economical. Think of it; No page ads in drumming publications, no booth at Namm, no paid endorsers, no real overhead.
I was on the fence with getting my CC birch jazzer, but now..having the kit for a couple of months .. I am SOLD! I recently sold my Yamaha SC birch to help out my daughter. Money is tight here so getting another Yamaha would be too much of a financial strain. I am pulling the trigger on my second CC!
They are the real deal IMHO!
I think that Sigler is selling the CC hw packs separately, and may be coming up short for some of their CC kits. It's weird too as I have seen them sell the Gretsch Catalinas, and PDP kits with CC hw. I guess that could be saying something about the CC hardware.
I will know more in a few weeks when I order my CC hybrid. I am getting the HW pack as well.
I'm with 2Slow, really sweet deal. I like that hybrid birch kit, particularly in the natural finish drnez showed! $500 is hard to beat with hardware. For those of us that have hardware we can use for gigs, even if the hardware isn't super durable, it can stay on a practice kit.
I have a few kits going right now, but you never know! Whenever my brother takes his Renowns back (could be years) I'll probably want another kit.
