    Default playing on the toms

    This might be a hard question to answer, but ill try to explain best as i can.
    ok on songs I here drummers drumming on there toms instead of there cymbals, i don't know which ones there drumming on or anything but i always try and it sounds like crap!
    so heres a couple of songs that u can listen to to get an idea what im talkin about:

    its not really substituting toms for cymbals, just hitting a deep tom along with your bass to give it a diffrerent accent

    Most of them have the beat going on the Floor tom, be it quarters or 8ths. While incorporating small tom fills into the beat. It takes a while to get anything that sounds good, but keep working on it.

    maybe it sounds bad because i have my same skins from my starter kit, and the kit is not even well known, so they probly don't work because my skins sound horrible
