Has anyone tried the new PDP 502 Double Pedal, and if so, what did you think? Because I am looking to buy a new pedal, and it looks like a good deal and looks nice. But the local GC does not have one in stock.

I hadn't heard of it before xpkpremier, but I check it out on the PDP website and it looks like a nice pedal. Of course, you really have to check it out in person. It is a nice upgrade from the 400 series pedals.

Just wonder how it compares to Tama IC Double and if should just save a little longer and get the Tama.

Have the pdp 402, its pretty good. I also have a pearl p122, and it's way better. All in all I think in that price range @$150 I would go with the pearl 902. Some of the things u can adjust r really nice to have.

Ps, I know the pearl is not dual chain, bit I have yet to ever break a chain. But I lf I gigged a lot I would go with the double chain

If you can save up a bit longer and get yourself a pair of Iron Cobras, then I'd do that if I were you. As the saying goes: buy it nice or buy it twice.

It looks like you play on a single Iron Cobra now...if you really like it, save up for the double. There are used ones on ebay.
