Your kinda right.. There should be more and valid rankings. But i dont think they matter.

Yeah, to be honest, I don't pay much attention to the "junior member/senior member" thing. I know that there are people in here with wide ranging experience on many different subject matters.
For instance, when I recently whined about my lessons, I got good feedback from junior to senior members that gave me good advice. Paraphrased it went something like this - "quityer*****in." Good, sound advice that was totally independent of any ranking. On other matters, I am more influenced by what I can tell comes from someone of long drumming experience. For instance, I can remember when Stix came to DrumChat, and his posts showed good wisdom, and experience even though he was new. We have any number of folks like that in here.
I may be a "senior member," but I also know my place when it comes to drumming matters. I am a beginner, but I have also figured out a few things related to tuning, and selection of a new drum kit (as long as we're not talking pro level). Some of the thing I know now, have come from advice that I was given right here on DrumChat, so I am forever indebted to my drumming brothers, and sisters. Other things that I can contribute come from a lifetime of experiences and training, so I feel very comfortable weighing in on some issues. And sometimes, I'm just having a laugh with everyone! It's all good!
Couldn't care less about ranking!

The titles just refer to the number of posts, and nothing more.
You can be a "senior" poster and fill your posts with fluff (and we all do that at one time or another, myself included!)--but there's always something to learn from everyone, even the newest of the newbies...
Stevo, no prob on forgettin' people...I've heard there are at least two signs of aging that drummers have to watch out for...the first one is that you start forgettin' stuff...and...uh...now what in the world was the second one?
(I rest my case!)
keep the beat goin' ... Don't keep it to yourself!

The only thing that affects me about the whole rating scheme is "Drummer" being the "Super Moderator".
This dictatorship is scary, and to think that at any minute, you can be edited, or deleted off the face of the planet for speaking against him/her.
All i know is, i watch what i say around here, and i keep myself clean and squeaky not to attract attention.
Last time i posted something that Drummer didn't like, he changed my signature!! :(
I Shall Never be caught, you will never obtain my Weapons of Mass Percussion, MWA HA HA HA HA!!
I'm sure that Drummer appreciates your signature now, RJF!!
Don't worry about Drummer. His job is just to make sure that everyone can come and have a good time, and that we play nice together! Personally, I think Drummer does a tough job, with a minimal of intervention, and when he joins in the fun, he proves he's a funny guy! Oh, and he's mildly knowledgeable, too!
