    Hi all

    i just buy a set of shure drum mic pgdmk6 6 mic (that the easy part)

    now i need to buy a mixer (behringer, mackie, etc... )

    i need at least 6 xlr maybe 8 will be better for long run 6 piece drumset

    let say 8

    i saw in behinger whith usb conection and mackie if they have not usb conection how do you do it

    is it better whith usb (behringer have bad review on sounding 2442 fx )

    anyway the more help i got if you have link that could help

    i am very lost and a real rookie

    oh ps it only for me at my home (studio wish soon )

    you will find most 12 channel mixers will have 6 xlr preamps and a bunch of other inputs rca etc.

    you will only get stereo in most mixers with usb,firewire is the real shizzle

    in the end of the day if your only recording then maybe get a sound card with 6/8 preamps

    Hello Riouel. Just do a search in the recording section. You will find many threads discussing mixers vs. DAW (digital audio workstations). Very different animals and very important to understand to make the right choice before buying anything.
