According to your sig, you already have both...
Should I get a Double Pedal, or a Splash Cymbal.
The Pedal: I was looking at a PDP 402 Double Bass Drum
The Cymbal: A Zildjian A-Custom 10" Splash w/ a Pearl CH70 Cymbal Holder
Just let me know which one you think is the best to get first, and if there is a cheaper but better one I could get.
DRUMS:
Sound Percussion 5-Piece Shell Pack-Black
Sound Percussion Piccolo Snare Drum-Black
Zildjian 18" ZBT Crash
Zildjian 20" ZBT Ride/Crash
Zildjian 14" Hi-hat
Sabian B8 Pro 10" Splash
Remo Ambassador Ebony drum Heads
I LOVE MY SPLASH
According to your sig, you already have both...
PDP Platinum Series drum set (Fire Engine Red Metallic to Black Fade)
- one 12" up, one 16" down
13x7" Ludwig Black Magic snare
14x5.5" PDP Platinum 12 ply snare
14" Zildjian A Series New Beat hi-hats
17" Zildjian A Series Medium Thin crash
21" Zildjian A Series Sweet Ride
Assuming you don't actually have either of them....I would definitely get the splash, unless you can shoot for a better double pedal. I have the PDP 402 double pedal and I've regretted getting it since I bought it over a year ago. You can't even adjust the beater angle. A few months ago the slave pedal just broke and I use it as a single pedal now.

I'd get the pedal but that's just me.
I am currently suffering from gear acquisition syndrome. Will trade soul for drum gear. Donations accepted.

"Uncontrollable urticaria drivel spurting" -a sentence spawned from the half a word story.
I don't mean to off topic but did anyone find it a tad ironic that his name is splash?
Also, I would get the splash, but I would think it largely depends on what music you play or how you like to play

Probably the splash.
I'm assuming your a new drummer, I'd work on that single bass technique for good while before trying double.
I'd go with the splash considering the 402 would only set you back, I know from personal experience.

Gretsch Renown Maple, Paiste Signature, Reflector, and Dark Energy
I don't have them, idk why those are on there. But the pedal im looking at now is a DW DWCP2002 Double Kick Drum-Pedal, its $160 and gets really good reviews, I want a smooth and fast pedal, is this what I'm looking for?

Get the splash. If you're torn between an accent cymbal or a double pedal, chances are you still have room for improvement with a single.
Whatever you do...just keep playing!
I would stay away from the double pedal. It seems like every new drummer wants to jump in and do constant double bass, (which drives me crazy) I would go with the splash. And of course you need MORE COWBELL!!!!
PDP Platinum Series drum set (Fire Engine Red Metallic to Black Fade)

13x7" Ludwig Black Magic snare

21" Zildjian A Series Sweet Ride
I agree with what has already been said, and recommend the splash as well. When it comes to bass drum pedals, you do not want to just splurge on whatever you can find for cheap. Every pedal has a different feel, and especially for double bass, you want to get a pedal that feels right to you. If you are set on a double bass pedal though, I'd check out some pedals by gibraltar. They make great products and are priced more reasonably than say DW.
Gretsch - Tama - Pearl - Sabian - Zildjian - Stagg - Evans - Vater - Gibraltar
Agreed with all. Until I'm REALLY happy with my single foot, I'm not touching anything to do with double pedals.
Ludwig - Sabian - Evans - Gibraltar - Vic Firth
2 Up 1 Down, 1 Crash 1 Ride, 2 Sticks.
Help us beat the record!
i have that pedal in my closet if you want it
+1 for the splash.
"I consider every drummer that ever played before me an influence, in every way." (Buddy Rich)
"How do you keep 90 people together with one stick? I've got two sticks and i can't keep 5 people together." (Ian Paice)
it depends on what you play, if you play metal, defitly the double pedal, if you play jazz you wont really need one, but most drummers play many types of music, so the double pedal is good to have, the splash is usally not that important but it is nice to have a splash cymbal
what id reccomnd the most is replacing your ZBTs with some better cymbals before you get the splash, its much better to have good crashes, ride, and hihat than a good splash cymbal
EDIT: when i was a begginer, i got a ZBT pack with a 20 ride, 14 hihat, 18 china, and 16 crash, i didnt know anything about cymbals, and my teacher got a splash cymbal, and i thought it sounded cool so i got a 8 ZBT splash instead of a 18 ZBT crash after a while i wish i got a second crash instead cause i realized a splash isnt that important and having a second crash would have been much better

Hmmm...if you had a $200 budget, I would try to get both, but go with a cheaper splash like ZBT. If you're not gigging all the time and all about developing your skills, you don't have to get the best yet. Good luck !
If you are on a budget then I suggest the splash ( A Customs are sweet ). You do do with out the pedal cause you are already using one........just my thoughts.
