Does anyone have any pointers to using edrums for triggering MIDI kits through programs like BFD2?

If you are using BFD2 for your sound, is the drum module important?

What are you using for a midi to USB conversion?

Do you need anything special coming out of the PC?

Is it set up like Module -> USB/MIDI converter -> PC?

    BFD2?

I connect the E-kit from the MIDI out into an Alesis io|2 MIDI interface, then from that I go into the USB port in the Mac. Yeah, I use a mac for recording, because I don't like having to install all the drivers and whatnot for the different equipment I'm using. Then I record it onto GarageBand and use the software drum sounds.

I'm not sure if it's possible to record each part of the drums (snare, kick, cymbals, etc) as separate tracks. If I could, then that would be a lot nicer because of EQ'ing and stuff, the software drums sounds are pretty bad haha
