Using Yamaha DTX ver 2 as drum machine

Hi. I have a Yamaha edrum module that I want to just use as a drum machine. I've never used midi before so I'm not sure what I'm doing. I have a midi capable keyboard hooked to the midi ports and I have channel 10 enabled on the module, but all I'm hearing in my headphones are the normal keyboard sounds. It's a Casio keyboard. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

Doh! I guess I have to use the actual e drums to record patterns on the module and not an midi device. Case solved!
