    Default New Drums!

Well after a long, and I mean long search I finally got new shells. It is a ddrum amx series set which is a maple/ash combo. I did buy them used and got a killer deal with some gator cases which was awesome. The bass is a virgin 22x20, mounted tom is 10" and the floor tom is a 14". It came with a 8" tom which I dont use. It also came with a huge 14x8 snare which has amazing sound and pop but I still perfer my pork pie lil squeler (pictured). It came with remo powerstoke 3 heads which I still have on the toms but I optioned to put my evans emad 2 on the bass which I love. It makes the bass seriously sound like a cannon. The hardware is amazing and I love the d-mount. The 10" resonates perfectly. I was able to tune the floor loooooooooooow and it now sounds like a 18" floor tom. I am super happy that I was able to find the kit I've wanted. These are crappy Iphone pics Ill try to get some later-Tim

Very cool NNN. That kick drum is a beast! Do you have any trouble playing your ride high and flat? I would like to see the ddrum snare. It sounds like a monster too. Congratulations on the new setup.

I only use it as a ride for about 15 sec of one song of our half hour set lol. I just use it as a crash. Ill get a pic of the snare tomorrow but have a maple set after a set of exports (non exl) Im super happy and still get a smile when I play it. We had a gig last sunday completely un-mic'd and out of 5 bands I was the only drummer that the crowd could hear the bass drum. So needless to say that brought a smile to my face.

I was thinking the same thing. Reminds me of Gregg Bisonette's kit from back in the 80's and 90's...only less cluttered.
