    Question Drum notation software?

    Hey peeps,

This is my first post so sorry if its been answered before or its in the wrong thread.

I'm looking for a program for my mac book so I can write my own charts and notes etc as I'm getting bored having to write everything out by hand.

    Any advice would be great.

    Thanks guys

Sibeilus. I use it at music school to write drum notation. It takes a little time to work out all the shortcuts, but when you do, you can write out notation for anything at warp speed.

Or if not Sibelius, there's always Guitar Pro, which can also write out drum notation.

Cool thanks guys, I tried sibeilus a while ago and couldn't work it out
I'll give it another go. It was getting symbols that looked right, X for Hi Hat etc that I couldn't find, my scores ended up looking like a piano part!

    Cheers

I like Finale. Not sure if they make a Mac version, though. It's definitely A LOT cheaper than Sibelius.

    Another vote for Sibelius!

I learned the hard way and googled every command I needed for drum scores!
Best of luck - once you get it down you'll speed along.
