    Default neewbie alert!

Hey my names Russ found this forum searching the web for answers.

I've been playing for about 18 years and currently earn my living teaching drums in surrey and west london also play in few bands to help pay the bills too. I play in a band called Kingskin playing a combo of classic style rock and grunge. Recently been recording an Album called 'Slug' in Chicago with producer Steve Albini which has been an amazing experience. For this I used a vintage DW kit using massive drums 15" rack, 16 and 18" floors and 24" kick drum. Used a beautiful 1920's lundwig & ludwig co black beauty snare drum 14 x 5 1/12".

I play a Birch Pearl Masters in natural finish with a 6 1/2" Fee Floating maple snare, for cymbals I use a mixture of A custom and K Ziljian. I like big cymbals 15" hats, 22" ride, 19 and 20" crashes.

I look forward to chatting to all of you about hitting stuff,

    Thanks
